What is your primary product or service?
Private deep sea fishing charters in the Sarasota, Longboat Key and Siesta Key area of Florida's Gulf Coast.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Growing up on Siesta Key at my parent's fish camp, fishing was in my blood. I was an integral part of the business, helping my dad with boat rentals, catching and maintaining live bait for our customers, providing fishing information to the same and even becoming a snook guide in my teens. Fishing was in my blood and from the very beginning I always wanted to earn my living taking people out into the gulf for an exciting day of deep sea fishing. In my early adulthood, I took a very active interest in shark fishing, helping to found the Sarasota Shark Club and providing many a live specimen for the Mote Marine Laboratories which happened to be located next to the fish camp in those days.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Since I've spent my entire life fishing these waters, I know the fishing grounds and local techniques better than most. I take great pride in the repeat business I've earned over the years, taking out second and even third generations of families who have enjoyed the excitement of a memorable day out in the gulf.

We pick up our charters at Hart's Landing, conveniently located in Sarasota at 920 John Ringling Causeway, 34236. With plenty of parking for our customers, it is only a 5-10 minute drive from Longboat Key and less than 20 minutes from the beaches of Siesta Key.

Which areas do you service?
The barrier islands of Longboat Key, Lido Key, Siesta Key and Anna Maria Island, as well as most of mainland Sarasota.

What are your hours of operation?
Daily all year private charters available for up to six people in your party, leaving our pick-up dock (depending on the time of the year) at 7:00AM or 7:30AM and returning at 11:00-11:30AM (4 hour trip), 1:00-1:30PM (6 hour trip) or 3:00-3:30PM (8 hour trip).
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Their obvious enjoyment of an exciting day on the water and their eagerness to come back again and/or refer friends and family to our services.
